Welcome to Sequence Theory ("ST", "we", "us", or "our"). Most cookie policies exist to explain a tracking apparatus. This one exists to tell you there is not one, and to name the two things worth naming. You can verify every line in your browser's developer tools.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to keep, so the site can recognise you between pages or visits. Related tools like local storage keep values on your device without sending them anywhere by themselves.

2. What This Site Sets

This site sets no cookies. It uses one local storage value:

• st_gate_passed_v1, stored by the landing page so the opening interaction does not repeat on every visit. It contains no identifier, stays on your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie and no preference manager, because there is nothing here that needs one.

3. What a Third Party Can Set

The landing page embeds one video through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. The player loads only if you press play. From that point, YouTube may set its own cookies under Google's policies. If you do not press play, it does not load.

4. Why There Is No Cookie Banner

Consent banners exist to ask permission for non-essential cookies. This site does not set any, so there is nothing to ask permission for. The one third-party case, the video, loads on your action, which is the most honest consent mechanism there is: pressing play.

5. Your Control

• Clear cookies and site data through your browser at any time
• Browse in private mode for a clean slate
• Skip the video if you prefer that nothing from YouTube loads beyond the preview image

The site works the same either way.
